Centred around the Wall Switch, Bye Bye Standby is a convenient new energy saving solution designed to reduce the daily energy consumption of electrical devices. Bye Bye Standby works by completely cutting power to the devices plugged into it when they're not in use, thus saving the power that these devices would otherwise have consumed in standby mode. Position the Wall Switch at the bottom of the stairs so you can switch off all those devices at once as you go to bed.

Appliances such as TVs, computers and hi-fi's left on standby waste more than £740 million worth of energy a year and cause more than four million tonnes of extra carbon emissions, adding to the problem of climate change.

A survey by the Energy Saving Trust found that the average household has up to 12 gadgets left on standby or charging at any one time, and that more than £740m of electricity is being wasted by things being left ticking over.

How to use Bye Bye Standby...

This starter pack contains your first Smart Switch and one Remote Control, and is an ideal way to get yourself started.

The Smart Switch simply plugs into any wall socket to control any appliance (up to 3000W).

Appliances plugged into to the Smart Switch can still be controlled manually.

Smart Switches can respond to On/Off commands. They can also be controlled as part of a group of devices by using the Group Switch on their side.

The Smart Switch "Plug and Play" set up makes them incredibly simple to use and program. Simply set the House and Unit code, plug it in to a mains socket, plug an appliance into it and control it with the Remote Control included in this pack.
