Centred around the Wall Switch, Bye Bye Standby is a convenient new energy saving solution designed to reduce the daily energy consumption of electrical devices. Bye Bye Standby works by completely cutting power to the devices plugged into it when they're not in use, thus saving the power that these devices would otherwise have consumed in standby mode. Position the Wall Switch at the bottom of the stairs so you can switch off all those devices at once as you go to bed.
Appliances such as TVs, computers and hi-fi's left on standby waste more than £740 million worth of energy a year and cause more than four million tonnes of extra carbon emissions, adding to the problem of climate change.
A survey by the Energy Saving Trust found that the average household has up to 12 gadgets left on standby or charging at any one time, and that more than £740m of electricity is being wasted by things being left ticking over.



Simply plug a Smart Socket into a mains wall socket and plug an electrical appliance into it. Make sure the Smart Switch and the Smart Socket are set to the same ‘House Code’. You can now switch your appliances on and off wirelessly from up to 30m away and by doing so you will avoid leaving them on standby.
