EarthLED Direct Replacement LED Lamps
The next generation of home lighting, using super-bright LEDs as a light source instead of either tungsten filaments or compact fluorescent tubes. These new lamps from EarthLED have been designed to provide a real alternative to standard GLS lamps with excellent light quality, 100% instant-on illumination, very low power consumption and extremely long service life.
Although manufacturers of energy saving compact fluorescent lamps claim a life of up to six years, we've found that in general use their light output has often dimmed to an unacceptable level within a couple of years use. We're pleased to have sourced this new 450 lumen output LED light bulb from a quality manufacturer in Taiwan at a breakthrough price. This attractively designed lamp is built around the recently introduced high performance CREE MX-6 chipset and may be used to replace standard light bulbs throughout the home with a light output equivalent to a 60w incandescent (GLS) lamp. The bulb is light and compact, being only 107mm in length and 60mm in diameter. This Warm White version has a standard bayonet fitting. We've compared this lamp to both the new Lemnis Pharox lamp and the Philips Master LED range and in our view, it is considerably brighter.

The DesignoLux range of lamps from EarthLED have been designed to closely resemble the external appearance of traditional GLS lamps for use in applications where the lamp itself is likely to be visible, making them easier on the eye. The NX8 lamp uses an 8 watt Sharp LED light engine and creates a light output equivalent to a regular 40-45w bulb, having a neutral white light colour. These lamps are suitable for general lighting use and we have found in our own tests that despite the light output from these NX8's being well dispersed, they appear brighter than the stated lumen output might suggest.
