EarthLED Direct Replacement LED Lamps
The next generation of home lighting, using super-bright LEDs as a light source instead of either tungsten filaments or compact fluorescent tubes. The new EvoLux S 13w LED light bulb from EarthLED is claimed to be the world's most advanced light bulb. Producing an estimated light output equivalent to a standard 100w GLS light bulb, the EvoLux 13w LED lamp is suitable for general lighting use, producing a crisp white neutral light with a wide dispersal pattern. The unusual design of the EvoLux S housing incorporates a miniature internal fan, allowing the CREE advanced LED light engine to generate a staggering amount of light whilst consuming only 13 watts of power. The DesignoLux range of lamps from EarthLED have been designed to closely resemble the external appearance of traditional GLS lamps for use in applications where the lamp itself is likely to be visible, making them easier on the eye. The NX8 lamp uses an 8 watt Sharp LED light engine and creates a light output equivalent to a regular 40-45w bulb, having a neutral white light colour. These lamps are suitable for general lighting use and we have found in our own tests that despite the light output from these NX8's being well dispersed, they appear brighter than the stated lumen output might suggest.
