3w LED Light Bulb 30-35w Equiv. (Cool White)

This new light bulb is designed to replace standard light bulbs used throughout the home in bedside lamps and table lamps with a light output equivalent to a 30-35w incandescent (GLS) lamp.  The bulb uses a CREE 3w module and the clever diffuser cap ensures a wide dispersal of the available light in a natural pattern similar to that of a standard GLS lamp.  This Cool White version comes with a standard bayonet fitting.

The lamp is well constructed with a ceramic insulator and chrome plated cast alloy heatsink.  The diffuser cap is formed in thick frosted glass.  The manufacturer estimates a 50,000 hour lifetime for this lamp, which equates to around 20 years average use.  LED lightbulbs contain no mercury, emit no UV or IR light and last around ten times longer than compact fluorescent equivalents.  LED lamps reach full brightness immediately, and their light output does not fade over time.  The light output for this lamp is rated by the manufacturer at  180 lumens.
