The AV IntelliPanel™ learns to recognise the signal from your television remote control; this enables it to activate your television together with the rest of your AV system automatically from standby mode whenever you are ready to use it. When you have finished using your television you switch it off in the normal way using your remote control and the IntelliPanel™ does the rest, shutting down the whole system at the same time!

We've got one of these at home with the Home Cinema Amplifier plugged into the master socket. We're pretty good at turning off the TV and Amplifier when we're not watching, but there are quite a few other DC powered AV gadgets, the DVD player (which will only go into standby) and of course a hulking great subwoofer. Using the plug-in power meter we sell, we could see that these items were using 47 Watts 24/7! Now, when we turn off the Amplifier, the IntelliPanel kicks in and the power meter reading is zero. At a rate of 7p per kWh, assuming a use of 4 hours per day this will save us over £20 per year - every year! The whole lot turns back on again when the Amplifier is powered up.

An average saving of approximately 35 watts per hour can be achieved depending on the number of connected peripherals. This product can pay for itself in less than a year of use!

Auto Calibration – The IntelliPanel™ continuously measures the amount of electricity being consumed by your TV in active and standby mode, by learning your televisions unique energy pattern the IntelliPanel™ will only switch your peripherals on/off when appropriate. At the right time, every time.
Zero-crossing detection - Automatically determines when the power supplied to the peripherals is at an optimum level for creating the least amount of stress to components. Switching at this point, the Intellipanel™ ensures that less electrical noise is emitted in the form of interference to other electrical products such as the radio and television.
