Sun Jar Mood Lamps

The Sun Jar collects and stores solar energy for you to release at night.

They're a combination of a traditional kilner jar with high tech energy efficient lighting.  Captured inside the water-tight frosted jar are a high efficiency solar cell, a rechargeable battery and low energy LED lamp.

Place the jar in sunlight and the solar cell charges the battery throughout the day.  The stored energy is then released at night to power the super-bright LED inside the jar, which illuminates with a satisfying warm glow.

 

Can be used both indoors and outdoors.

The Sun Jar's light is diffused by the subtle frosted glass and creates the impression of sunlight emitting from the jar.  Warm coloured LED lights are used to give a more natural and glowing light. There is no switch on the sun jar - in fact there are no visible controls at all - there is a clever light sensor inside that automatically activates the lights when it gets dark or lights are turned out.

Kilner jars are not only beautiful but by their very nature they are completely water tight - so the Sun Jar can happily be left outside in any weather conditions. A perfect garden light or gentle glowing night light for a kids bedroom.
