These Auraglow branded GU10 LED spotlights offer a potential low-cost alternative to the top quality lamps from Aeon. Clearly, they don't have the claimed lumen output of the top-end lamps in the Aeon range, but are worth considering for lower light level applications or where a drop in light output compared to 50w halogens would be acceptable. If you've done your research, you'll know that 350lm is pretty good for a 7w LED GU10 in cool white. According to EU guidelines, this makes the lamp's light output equivalent to a traditional 32 Watt lamp.

The manufacturer's stated output of 350lm is at a colour temperature of 6000k with a rather tight 30 degree beam angle, so better suited to higher ceilings or accent lighting. Cool white lamps such as these are more suitable for shop display lighting than general home lighting. At 60mm, these lamps are longer than halogen GU10 lamps and may be too long to suit some fittings where the lamp is retained by a circlip, so check first.
