The Wattson has to be the most desireable energy monitor manufactured to date.  It's neatly packaged in a recycled cardboard box which is a joy to open.  As you lift out the little trays neatly arranged inside, you'll find everything you need to get started including a DC wall adaptor/charger for the main display unit (UK only) and four AA batteries to power the transmitter.  The Wattson comes pre-set with a cost per unit rate of 13p/kWh.  You can adjust this to suit the rate shown on your most recent electricity bill via the Holmes PC/Mac software which should be downloaded from the DIY Kyoto website.  The Holmes software is also used to download data from the Wattson display unit which can store up to four weeks of data in its internal memory.
